A Wise Phriend

I feel blessed that I have such amazing friends around me. This morning I was talking to a friend on the phone, his mother is pretty sick and he is calmly dealing with life's cycle. We started to chat about our tennis games. He said, "Ya know Dodee, it isn't wether I win when I play tennis it is totally how I have performed or played the game." It was so interetesting because it had paralleled my thoughts exactly from earlier in the day. I replied, "I feel so connected to what you just said, because as I thought about building a business or becoming successful, it is so important to see my own progress and superior performance. What is success without having gone through the trials and tribulations? How can you survive success unless you have been humbled? What does money mean unless you have found a career that in assists other people's dreams as well as your's. " True success wakes up the spirit, it relates to being accomplished as a total person and harboring a lifestyle that benefits those around the individual. Contrast to the tabloids world call success, which usually disrupts the individuals health and personal relationships. It is a matter of these individuals indulging in the small self (ego distortion) instead of the Big Self which is a more evolved nature. The ego is distorted and reinforced aligning with weak attractor patterns in small self. If you look at nobel prize winners you will see that they are generally warm, sincere and view success as a responsibility treating everyone as equal. They see it as a stewardship to benefit all.
What is so interesting about true success is that these individuals do not fear ever losing it. They realize that they are a channel acted through to create success in the outer world. Solid confidence comes from the knowledge that the source of success is "in here". In contrast when one views success is "out there" they will always be insecure, defensive, possessive and vulnerable.
True success is effortless maybe because it can be compared to an electric current through a wire. The higher the power of the current, the greater the magnetic field that it generates. It influences everything in its presence.
