And so we go back to the beginning of the story and start with Omeriah Malcom whom was the father of Cedella. He was known as a Myalman, a healer. Omeriah was not only financially successful from his coffee farms as he was the largest cultivator of the plant in the neighborhood of Green Hill but was wealthy in arcane arts as well. His father had taught him this. And so it was that Omeriah was skilled with these God-given positive powers. He was to all intents and purposes a white magician whom dealt with ONLY white and high matters. His understanding of plants such as Leaf of Life and Sinkle Bible were deep and he respected their powers. As Cedella grew older, Omeriah explained to her the powerful spirits embedded in the neighborhood of nine mile. And it would confuse Omeriah why so many would surrender to the darkness. It was like a garden where a bitter weed seemed to grow.
The pregnancy of Nesta was problem free and it was the first Sunday of February in 1945 when Cedella would go to church as usual. Monday she had hoped to fast and give testimony at the church in the evening but it was then that pain struck and a knew baby was about to be brought into the world. Omeriah often told Ceddy that she was b/t life and death until she gave birth to that child. Until tomorrow...the story continues.

Misty morning....
don't see no sun, I know you're out there somewhere having fun. -Mr. Marley
And so today as the rain saturated the canyon it made the plants and the earth very happy. I watered my hanging indoor plant and wondered if it was comfy in that space that I had put it. For some reason I had a feeling that it wanted to relocate to the kitchen. I told Gable before we left for the movies and she said, "It looks happy." But, instead of putting it back in my room I left it hanging above the kitchen sink while it drained a bit. When I returned later in the afternoon there were two knew sprouts that had come out. The little plant had communicated to me exactly what it required. So much can be said without our words, isn't that so? Have you ever seen the movie Bridges of Madison County? That movie encompasses so much silence, but yet the story is so well told. Believe in feeling and intuition. Feel other people's presence and be aware of your own.
