Tell the Children the Truth

Recently I told a friend about my desire and vision to help the people of Jamaica. Located on my site you can see a link to a web page with lots of information on the Jamaican culture as well as many organizations through which you can help. But my friend asked me, "Why is it Jamaica you want to help?" I am so glad he asked me this because for me it is very clear. Robert Nesta Marely's words and lyrics have given me so much guidance and strength to live life with an inner sense of wisdom. Without his music or his words I would not continually be able to awaken my soul in finding true meaning in life. He was and is a profound part of my life and will always be. He is Ruby's spiritual father...The LEAST that I can do is give back to his people through donating and volunteering. I would like to work with one family so that I can get a better cultural understanding as well as help the whole. I am just starting to learn Patoi or what the Jamaican's call real English. I am currently taking a publishing class and am enrolled to start a speech class in August. I have taken voice articulation while pursuing my undergraduate degree and enjoyed speeches and forensics. I am thrilled to get back into it. Maybe my first speech will be in Patoi. If you have ever been to Jamaica you can see that many of the people have a glow and a sparkle about them. These are the people I want to see have more power and weight in this world to rise above. In conclusion, life is about devoting yourself to helping others, only then can we reach pure fulfillment and truth. It is then that the knowledge and abundance will be granted.
